Nail Storyboard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

Who we are and scope

Nail Storyboard is an offline nail-design planning app operated under the name Nail Storyboard. This policy describes the app and its public privacy, terms, and support pages. It applies to adults aged 18 and over. The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, nail-health assessments, or virtual try-on results.

Information on your iPhone

Your nail designs, names, written notes, selected colors, geometric details, accent marks, photo references, and voice recordings are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone. The app creates a recoverable working draft as you edit. It does not require an account, collect a profile, or send this content to an app-operated server. Built-in examples are separate from your personal designs.

Camera and selected photos

Camera access is requested only when you choose Take Photo, to create a hand reference alongside a design. You may decline and use Choose Photo or an illustrated sample instead. The system photo picker gives the app access only to images you select; the app does not request full-library access. Supported still photos are normalized and reduced to at most 2048 pixels on the long edge. Your system photo-library originals are not modified. Re-encoded image copies do not retain location metadata.

Microphone and audio

Microphone access is requested only when you choose Record Note. Recordings explain your design to your nail artist and are stored locally as M4A files. Recordings are not transcribed or uploaded. Recording stops on an interruption or when the app enters the background and never resumes automatically. Each recording is limited to 120 seconds. You may use written notes instead.

Network access and public pages

The core design, sample, saving, and export features work offline. Privacy, terms, and support are opened as web pages in an in-app WebKit view, with bundled offline copies if loading fails. These pages are hosted by Cloudflare. When you open a hosted page, Cloudflare necessarily processes network information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, and browser or device headers to deliver and secure the page. Cloudflare may retain service logs under its own policies. Your design text, photos, and recordings are not attached to these page requests. The pages contain no app analytics, advertising scripts, or tracking cookies. See https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ for the hosting provider’s policy.

No tracking, ads, purchases, or sale

The app does not use advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or in-app purchases. We do not sell or rent your personal content. There is no public community, account service, or cloud-sync feature.

Exports and sharing

You control exports through the iOS share sheet. A design PNG contains the selected hand or full set and the notes or photo references you explicitly include. Audio is exported separately. Export All Data creates a readable ZIP containing personal records, media, a manifest, and instructions. These are readable copies, not an in-app restore backup. Recipients and apps you choose may process shared data under their own policies. Copies you save outside the app are not removed when you delete in-app data.

Retention and deletion

Personal content stays locally until you delete it or remove the app. You can delete individual designs, reference photos, and recordings, or use Settings > Delete All Personal Data. Unreferenced media is cleaned up while media still used by another saved record is retained. Delete All Personal Data removes personal designs, drafts, and local media; built-in examples remain. Removing the app normally removes its local container, subject to iOS device-backup behavior. iCloud or device backups may include app data according to your Apple settings; we do not operate these backups or promise restoration. No app-server retention period applies because personal content is not sent to an app server.

Security and your choices

Local files use iOS sandboxing and protected file writes. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Use a device passcode and review backups and exported copies. You can revoke camera or microphone permission in iOS Settings without losing the design tools. Do not include sensitive information in optional notes or shared files unless you intend to disclose it.

Your rights and international use

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase personal information and to raise concerns with a data-protection authority. The app provides local editing, export, and deletion controls. We cannot remotely inspect or erase your on-device designs. Hosting traffic may be processed by Cloudflare in multiple countries. If you contact support voluntarily, your email provider and the support provider may process the message and any attachments you send. Do not send private media unless necessary.

Children

The product is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s information through the app. A parent or guardian can delete local content using the controls above.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be reflected in this policy and its update date. The current operating name is Nail Storyboard. The configured contact address is nailstoryboard@support.com. This address is a placeholder supplied for the draft and is not a verified or monitored support channel; a working contact must be provided before public store release. Until then, use the included help and local controls, and do not send sensitive information to that address.
